West Division

Welcome to West Division, which covers Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre, Lancaster and Morecambe areas.

Chief Supt Hassan Khan is the Divisional Commander for West Division, leading policing in Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre, Lancaster and Morecambe.

“I have been a police officer for 21 years, starting my career in 2004. I spent the majority of my time in East Division, working mostly in Response and Neighbourhood Policing before moving to HQ Corporate Development as an Inspector in 2015.  Having been promoted to Chief Inspector at East, I then moved to West as Force Incident Commander in 2018.  Since 2020, I have worked both in Specialist Operations and South Division as Superintendent.  I was most recently the Superintendent for our Specialist Operations team, covering Roads Policing, Roads Crime, Custody and the much-loved Mounted and Dogs teams. I’m very happy to be returning to West Division as Divisional Commander.

We will continue to work with our partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the local areas.”
