Four charged with high value theft in Preston

We have charged four people following a high value theft from a shop in Preston.

We were called to TK Maxx on Fishergate at around 5.20pm on Wednesday, 15th January, 2025. It was reported that items of clothing worth around £700 had been stolen.

A woman, a man and two teenage boys were arrested at the scene.

We can now tell you that Alexandru Cristea, 18, of Louisa Street, Manchester, Mareabritanie Stoian, 20, of Radstock Road, Liverpool and two teenage boys aged 15 and 16 have been charged with theft from a shop.

They have been released on bail and will appear before Preston Magistrates Court on 31st January 2025.

Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.

The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
