As the landscape of diverse communities in UK is evolving, it needs to be acknowledged that the landscape and nature of crime is also evolving. This evolution in itself is presenting significant challenges to policing communities in the 21st Century as traditional crimes such as burglaries and motoring offences are no longer the only threat dealt with by police forces across the UK.
The evolution of communities has meant that police forces are now dealing with complex crime with strong ties to vulnerability, race, religion, ethnicity and ideological beliefs.
