Fiona Daley is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. Most of Fiona’s professional career has been spent working in the public sector, including over twenty years with the Audit Commission, where she was the appointed auditor responsible for the audit of a portfolio of NHS and local government bodies and their pension funds.
Fiona‘s ongoing contribution to governance in the public sector is borne out of a commitment to ensuring high standards of audit and accountability in public services. Her recent work includes working with the Local Government Association to establish the transitional arrangements for local public audit following the closure of the Audit Commission. Since leaving the Audit Commission she has also been the chair of the Cumbria Police Joint Audit Committee; an accountant member of the Financial Reporting Council disciplinary panel and; an independent appointments panel chair for Judicial Appointments Commission. Currently Fiona is a self-employed consultant working to support improvement in audit quality, transparency and governance within the public sector and a member of the Social Mobility Commission's Audit and Risk Board.

Chief Finance Officer, Greater Manchester Police
Ian is a member of Greater Manchester Police’s Chief Officer Group and is the Force’s Chief Finance Officer. He is also the Senior Information Risk owner (SIRO) for the Force.
Ian is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy with 38 years’ experience working in a number of public roles that have included responsibility for pensions administration and fund governance. He is a member of the National Police Chiefs’ Council with specific responsibility for technical accounting matters.
