Witness appeal after man is killed in collision in Grimsargh

We are appealing for witnesses after a man sadly died following a collision.

We were called shortly after 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 30th April) after a Mazda 6 driving north on Preston Road at Grimsargh left the road and collided with a bus shelter and church wall.

Very sadly despite the efforts of emergency services the driver, a man in his 60s, died.

His family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.

Sgt Michael Higginson, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly a man has died, and I would appeal for anyone who saw what happened or who has any information to come forward and contact us.”
